PowerInbox enables email newsletter publishers to earn more from every email send. We do this by supplementing your direct-sold inventory, filling vacant spots with advertisements from our network of carefully curated advertisers, in a process we call “backfill.” Our algorithm matches relevant advertisements to each subscriber based on their known behavior and demographic data, to deliver ads that are personalized to their interests and that drive action.
Yes! Our AdServer for Email allows publishers make the most of their web direct-sold inventory by extending those campaigns into email. Our platform uses email as a unique identifier and machine learning to deliver personalized and increasingly relevant content to readers. And, we’re the only email monetization provider that integrates directly with Google Ad Manager (GAM) to streamline ad ops and creative management, allowing you to manage your email and web campaigns all in one platform. Simply upload creative once, and the system does the rest.
We count unique opens for ad units at a user level for each UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) day. For example, within a 24 UTC period, if an email is opened twice, it will count as 1 (one) unique load.
We support all standard IAB display ads. We also support custom native ads, that can be tailored to your specific newsletter.
All content in our system is manually sorted into categories and manually assigned content ratings based on our content rating guidelines. All content also carries a brand-safe rating.
Emails are sent to all users as a blast with the same HTML for all users. The email address or unique user hash enables our system to tie each click of an ad to the image that was shown to the user. In order to deliver precise personalization and tracking, each image and click URL must be unique to that user. This ensures that when a user clicks the image, they go to the right URL. To maintain privacy, we do not store the email address We just need the cs_email parameter in the URLs to be filled with a value that is different for each email recipient.
This may be caused by a number of factors including viewing the email on multiple devices/accounts at the same time or using a distribution email list. Please contact your Account Manager to help find the solution.
This is usually caused by the tokens being replaced incorrectly, an incorrect whitelabel set up, or (less frequently) the stripe being disabled. Please contact your Account Manager to help find the solution.

Each provider may count metrics differently. Factors such as time zone, filtering, variation between gross and net unique impressions and clicks or invalid traffic can contribute to click and impression discrepancies. Please contact your Account Manager to help find the solution.

This could be caused by a few variables. Check to make sure you have enough creatives equal to the number of ad tags we’ve built for you per newsletter. Use the resource guide to help troubleshoot further, and reach out to your Account Manager if this continues.
Currently, PowerInbox supports geotargeting, using PowerInbox’s key values. Geolocation reporting isn’t available at this time, since the geotargeting functionality of GAM isn’t supported, only PowerInbox’s key-value targeting.


PowerInbox uses Tipalti to process payments, which provides many payment methods worldwide. Please keep in mind there are various fees associated with different payment methods. PowerInbox will cover transfer fees of up to $5 per transaction - any excess expenses will be deducted from your payment.
First, go to and provide your billing and tax information in the ‘Billing’ section. Any aggregated amount over $50 will be paid. Publishers are eligible to receive early payment offers (subject to relevant fees) via PowerInbox’s AP processor, Tipalti, and based on the latter’s terms and conditions.
